Redness in the skin, also known as erythema, is a common skin reaction that occurs due to the dilatation of blood vessels near skin's surface. There are various factors, including environmental factors, allergic reactions, skin conditions (rosacea, eczema, psoriasis), skin sensitivity, irritants (harsh chemicals, abrasive skincare products), infections, inflammation disorders (lupus), sunburn.

The process of redness in the skin involves blood vessel dilatation, inflammation, vasodilation, and nerve activation. The duration and intensity of redness can vary, it can be mild and temporary (exercise, temperature) or prolonged and severe (rosacea, sunburn).

Efficacy testing protocol is prepared for each product individually with close cooperation with the sponsor. Based on the claims, usage regime and efficacy expectations, we prepare a protocol that is suitable for the type of product and can confirm product efficacy. The studies can be performed over a different time period (from a few days to several weeks or months) depending on the claim and type of measurement.
